winter delights // merry christmas.

Next to autumn and spring, winter is my favourite season. Some may find this strange, but I love it to be outside, when it is bitterly cold. I love to go on walks, wrpped in a warm coat, thick tights and warm boots, seeing the bare nature. When you go on a walk, it's the best time to dwell in thoughts or making new plans. And of course, the snow. Doesn't the world looks just magical, when a blanket of snow covers the country?*
And, as there is nothing better as drinking hot chocolate when you come home, sitting together with people you like, enjoying cosy evenings and cosy lights. Isn't there any better thing then seeing all the wonderful lights inside and outside of houses? Everything looks so magical.

Winter time is also the periode of quiet. It is the time to be still and listen. No need to rush. The year comes to an end. It is the time of catching ups, with family and friends, christmas markets, rosy cheeks, happy faces, baking  christmas cookies, delicious food, fairytales, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

All together a time to be merry and bright. Who wouldn't like this time of the year, when you have so many things you can do during winter time?

"Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love
of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit,
become a child again at Christmas-time.
~Laura Ingalls Wilder

Wishing you all a wonderful and peaceful Christmas and Happy New Year! Celebrate this time of the year with family and friends. Many blessings to you!

See you in 2014! ♥

* My fingers are crossed for some snow this winter, even if we won't have any on christmas eve. Up to 14°C they forecast. Ugh!
